Teams is Now Generally Available

Last year we put out a blog previewing Microsoft’s chat-based workspace called Teams.  On March 14th, the service went General Availability.  The service is included in Business Essentials, Business Premium, E1, E3 and E5 plans.  Common use cases for Teams are new project roll outs, marketing plans, and other high velocity activities that require near constant communication.  Teams handles chat, meeting, document storage, notation and project management activities all within a single channel.  With General Availability a couple of new enhancements were made namely in security and compliance.  Teams now supports eDiscovery, legal hold and audit log search.  As with every O365 service and workload, constant enhancements and updates are in the works.
